About me
Nice to meet you !
My name is Sietske Nobel, I was born in 1978 in Holland. My partner an I moved to Australia in 2009, bought an old farm
near Bridgetown WA, put a lot of work into it and brought it back to life.
I've always been involved with horses, I can't imagine life without them. After finishing my animal
management and para-veterinaire course in 1998, I traveled around the world for about 2 years. I lived in Australia
for a year and spent six months on a gaited horse stud in Canada.
When I went back to Holland, I started a Natural Horsemanship center including a riding school and holiday camps
for kids. I bred gaited horses and established training facilities. I also sold treeless saddles and bitless bridles.
Over the years my approach to horses has changed a lot. I grew up in a world where you didn't know any better than to
pull the reins to steer and stop, hit your horse with the whip if he didn't do what you asked him to and I didn't know better
than that horses were happy in stables.
It never felt quite right, but that was how you learned.
Natural Horsemanship
I got involved in Natural Horsemanship in 1991 after seeing Klaus Ferdinand Hempfling giving a demo in Holland.
Since that demo I started reading and learning more about Natural Horsemanship.
Inspired by horseman like Klaus Hempfling, Monty Roberts, Pat Parelli, Emiel Voest, Klaus Hempfling, Chris Irwin,
Alexander Nevzorov, Linda Tellington Jones and many more,
I developed my own way of working/communicating with horses.
I've spend a lot of time studying about natural behaviour, I had a chance to see the wild prezwalski horses in Mongolia and
the 'wild' horses in National Parks in Holland.
I would like it to be the horse's choice to work together with me and like to have a relationship with
the horse that is build on trust and respect.
Equine Body Worker
It's always been my dream to help horses more than just with training or being a vet nurse.
In 2009 my dream came true when I started studying to become a qualified Equine Body Worker.
Since then I have completed and qualified for different modalities. (see "Body Work").
